Purchase and Usage Guide
1. Selection Points
Prioritize lead-free and environmentally friendly models: Meets industry standards, avoids heavy metal contamination, and is compatible with lead-free solder.
Check the plating process: High-quality soldering iron tips have a uniform, bubble-free plating, a thick copper base, faster heat conduction, and longer lifespan.
Select according to scenario: Choose pointed tips for precision repairs, blade/horseshoe tips for batch soldering, and flathead tips for large solder joints.
2. Lifespan Extension Techniques
First-time use “tinning maintenance”: Immediately tin-plat the new soldering iron tip after heating to form a protective layer.
Avoid dry burning: Turn off the soldering station promptly when not in use to prevent high-temperature oxidation.
Regular cleaning: Clean solder slag with a damp sponge/copper wire cleaner; avoid sanding (will damage the plating).
Correct temperature setting: Lead-free solder is recommended at 350-380℃; avoid prolonged use above 400℃.
Supplementary Notes
900 Soldering iron tips are “universal consumables” for electronic repair. The same model from different brands (such as Hakko, Huanghua, and Quick) is basically interchangeable; the core differences lie in the plating process and lifespan. Domestically produced, high-performance models fully meet daily repair needs, while imported models are suitable for high-frequency, high-requirement industrial production scenarios.
